The Late Anna Talwalkar Memorial Trust, Pune awarded its eighth "Exemplary Industrialist Award" to Mr. Potnis in Pune today. The coveted award and citation were given to Mr. Potnis in a grand function presided by Shrimati Vidya Bal, a writer and noted socialist in the areas of equalization and empowerment of women.

The meteoric rise of Mr. Potnis, from a child eclipsed by inferiority complexes into an accomplished entrepreneur, was recognized by citizens from every walk of life with thunderous applaud and a standing ovation. He was described as a person with yogic peace inside and world-class business professional from outside in the citation.
